3 drug peddlers nabbed; heroin seized in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: After the arrest of a drugs peddler named Tiku Saha on Wednesday, the Special Operation Group (SOG) of the Central Guwahati Police District (CGPD) and a team of Chandmari Police Station carried out an operation on Thursday morning and arrested three drug peddlers.

The police team also recovered 4.26 gm heroin, two syringes, three plastic containers, empty vials,10 mobile phones and Rs 5,000 cash from their possession.

The three drug peddlers are Goutam Sarmah of Gandhibasti, Saddam Hussain of Bhaskar Nagar and Anufa Begum of Pub Sarnia. Legal action has been initiated and further investigation is on.
